About Us
GGG is Glasgow’s leading charity for older adults. Established in 1948 as the Glasgow Old People’s Welfare Committee, we began in the aftermath of World War II to tackle loneliness and social isolation—a mission that still lies at the heart of our work today.
Our vision is of a society where older people are valued, respected, and empowered to live fulfilling, dignified lives.
For nearly eight decades, we have worked to combat social isolation by enhancing the quality of life for older adults—providing essential services, building meaningful community connections, and advocating for their rights and wellbeing.
